How To Make Cream Cheese Substitute | Cream Cheese Substitute Recipe | Beat Batter Bake With Upasana
Cream cheese is an ingredient widely used in both baking and dessert recipes. But cream cheese might not be easily available at your local store or even if it is available, it is usually a bit on the expensive side. But worry not! We are always here to help!
Beat Batter Bake with Upasana brings you the recipe for cream cheese substitute which you can use in most of your recipes.
1 litre milk (unskimmed)
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 or 1 tsp. Yogurt
Take 1 litre of full fat milk in a heavy bottomed pan and bring to a boil. Once the milk boils, reduce the heat and add Lemon Juice to it and stir. Keep adding the lemon juice until the milk starts curdling. Take a muslin cloth and strain the curdled milk in it and let it cool for 30 minutes. After the curdled milk has cooled down add 1 tsp. salt to it and put it in a blender/mixer. Give it a spin and check for creamy texture.
Tip:- If the mixture is not creamy enough add half or 1 tsp. Yogurt to it and spin it again.
Your substitute for cream cheese is ready.
