4 tbsp refined oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
¼ tsp mustard seeds
A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
2 green chillies, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 medium potato, boiled and diced
Salt- to taste
6-8 slices white bread slices
2 tbsp, fresh coriander leaves, chopped
1 tsp lemon juice
Break the bread into smaller pieces and keep aside.
Heat refined oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and a pinch of asafoetida. Mix well.
When the mustard seeds crackle, add chopped green chillies, chopped onions and sauté until transparent.
Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and mix well.
Add the boiled and diced potato and sauté for two minutes.
Add salt and bread pieces. Sprinkle some water, toss well and cook for two minutes.
Garnish with fresh coriander and squeeze lemon juice. Toss well and serve hot.
