Litchi Malai | Lychee Rabdi | Dessert Recipe
“Bengali’s have sweet tooth” — it is universally known and so they love to add the seasonal fruits in desserts as well to recreate the magic like “kheer komola”, “ranga alur puli”, “lauer payesh”, “lichur payesh ” etc. This recipe is a summer special as you can get the juiciest and pulpy litchis in summer only. In our version of lichur payesh we don’t use any rice so we like to name it “litchhi malai”. It melts in your mouth like cream and leaves the after taste of litchi. Perfectly balanced with the goodness of dry fruits and fresh fruit it is an absolute bliss to have chilled in scorching summer.
